Exhibition

Exhibition always can let us know the art about anything. Now we only know a litter about the art from the art class. This time we really watched a famous sculpture exhibition in the Nanjing University.

The title of the artwork is ‘QI BAISHI’. The artist is named Wu weishan. The artwork was made in 2000. The sculpture is only a head of the person. It is the colour of mud. Artist used the lifelike lines to paint the face. The hair is very thick.The shape of the head is a triangle. The eyes are symmetrical. The nose is very big. So many concrete depict let the emotions of the face looks very serious.

The artwork looks very serious. Makes me feel a little bit sad and worried. I am not true what he was thinking. It reminds me of the expression of the my grandfather’s face. When he felt worried. He was looking for something and pondered or he encountered something which was difficult to decide. The expression also related to the business man meets the problems of the financial crisis in the world, they had no ideas to help themselves and their business will be faced with collapse. Let's contact the background of the artwork, Qi Baishi came back from the other century. He drew lots of Chinese paintings in the Chinese long history. Up to now, we can taste the soul of the Chinese paintings from his drawings. Because of his deep considerations, the artist disclose the worried emotions of the sculpture .

I like the artworks very much . Because artist Wu used his talent to sculpt a very lifelike face . It represents the Qi Baishi’s feeling when we watch the art work at the first time. The main reason is QI was a famous artist in the. His drawings can always let us think for a very long time. suddenly, if you get the meaning from the drawings. You will realize why he was famous in the world. He can drew his painting with different implications but they were also very pressing close to the life. By the sculpture, the Qi’s extraordinary art soul can be embody ed . From every litter details, for examples his hairs ,his nose and his mouth…..all can represent the artist Wu’s art talent. because the artist Qi died early, so the sculpture Wu only can finish his art work by the picture of the Artist Qi. He could not observe the artist very carefully, but he did not lose any details of the art work.

From the exhibitions, we know the artist Wu did the sculpture for 20 years. His works are all very close to the life. Because he studied in the western countries and got the international awards of the sleeping boy. This is a very good example for his realistic art works. He used the Chinese style to do his works. It contains the deeply meanings.

Restaurant

On the 18Th of Dec in 2008, half of our classmates went to the foreigner’s restaurant. It is on the Kunlun Street3. It I s a god-given chance to discuss with the Grade 12 students and it also let us experiences the German Restaurant with the grade 12 help. It is also called the Bistro and Bar.The Restaurant is not very big, but it has a very elegant surroundings.

The restaurant is called Secco. We enjoyed the Germany food in the second floor. The table is very long. And in each table, it had the western style. Each table has a candle. So that we do not need the lights, we called the dinner was ‘candle dinner’.
Although I forgot the name of dish, I also can remember what the main food in the dish. My dish is form of the fishes. I though the dish is so-so, but the cat sup which on them are so delicious that I can not forget it until now. To compare with the Chinese food , the cat sup is the most different from us.

In the dinner, the beer in the German Restaurant is the most famous in the world. So we order two cups of the beer. The feeling of the beer is sweet, the taste of the beer is sweet, not bitter. When we were eating, the grade 12 students asked us some questions about what we wanted to know in the future studies. They told us a lot about their experiments and what the problems what they met in the grade 10
The whole dinner is unforgettable and meaning. We did not only enjoy the foreign counties food and we know more about what kind of the directions we need to keep going.
